CCFA is a main consultant of national and provincial governments when major policies are concerned. CCFA also helps local and international retailers obtain various government approvals and preferences.

CCFA plays a key role as an intermediary between government and corporations. It helps private corporations communicate effectively with concerned government institutions. Through the years the CCFA has built a good relationship with China’s government and it has taken part in establishing industry standards throughout the country.

Supermarket Food-Safety Regulation

This regulation is commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce China. It is based on collective experiences from many famous retail companies such as Metro、Carrefour、Wal-mart、Wumart, etc.

Supermarket Shopping Environment Standard

This was drafted by CCFA in order to promote a standard for operations for supermarkets and to protect consumers’ rights.

Proposal for Foreign Retailers Tobacco Operation

Based on suggestions of a foreign capital corporation member, CCFA submitted this proposal to the Commercial Ministry of China and the National Tobacco Bureau to reflect the function of foreign capital corporations on tobacco sales.

Proposal for Produce VAT Reduction

To protect retail corporations’ profits and to promote the circulation of agricultural products, CCFA submitted this proposal to the Chinese government.

The Supermarket Classification Standard

Under the leadership of the Commercial Ministry of China, the CCFA drafted this standard to improve services of retail companies and enhance their overall competitiveness.
